Alteryx Practice Director

The Alteryx Practice Director leads the implementation and delivery of Alteryx Solutions to customers of Alteryx, strengthens our partnership with both Alteryx and its customers, and leverages these relationships to identify and help develop new business opportunities.


Project Implementation (customer-facing)

• Act as a technical and delivery lead on project assignments to design and implement analytics process automation, using the Alteryx platform, and data analytics solutions for customers.
• Build and configure Alteryx products such as Server, Designer, Intelligence suite etc. based on best practices and customer requirements.
• Work with a cross-functional technical team to develop analytics workflows, applications and data products, datasets, machine learning models for customers based on the project scope.
• Compile and/or supplement required technical documentation, implementation guide, best practices, technical specifications, diagrams, training materials related to project.
• Develop and execute customer enablement plans which include onsite training, working sessions for Alteryx and technical knowledge transfer, etc.
• Navigate and manage challenges and complexities associated with Client implementation and change management related to Alteryx technology platform, workflows, etc.
• Work proactively with Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Systems Engineers, Technical Architects, and other Solutions Architects to strategize the product implementation and integration with other enterprise services.
• Be responsive to customer demands and mitigate objections, or product deficiencies.
Practice development (internal to develop Alteryx practice)
• Work closely with the business development, strategic partnership leadership and team to develop trusted partnerships with Alteryx and its customers and identify opportunities to provide data and advanced analytics solutions that optimize the value of Alteryx technology products.
o Actively engage with Alteryx and its customers to understand their pain points, challenges and goals; identify new business opportunities above and beyond defined scope of the project.
• Actively engage in Alteryx community to network and strengthen partnership with Alteryx.
• Assists in the response to RFI/RFP as Alteryx SME
• Stay current on Alteryx technology, products, partnerships, and solutions; understand use cases and applicability for customers success.
• Assist with compilation and creation of technical enablement materials for business development and other company team members to understand Alteryx’ latest features, from a technical and practical standpoint, their value, and customer integration.
• Assist with recruiting efforts and expanding the Alteryx Practice team
• Coach and train other team members to build Alteryx practice expertise and experience.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Strong, proven communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
• Expertise working with a variety of structured, unstructured, semi-structured data sources including but not limited to geospatial, social, IoT, RDBMS, text
• Hands-on experience with Alteryx products such as Server, Designer, Intelligence suite, datasets, and others.
• Experience working closely with data scientists, analysts, and AI/ML SMEs
• Scripting experience with Python
• Integrate Alteryx solutions with other enterprise technologies and data infrastructure on-premise or multi-cloud.
• Good understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services, how customers leverage them, and how Alteryx integrates. Snowflake knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Good understanding of application development and data management methodologies
